Software Designer

Job description

  • You are responsible for designing and implementing software modules for heading test elaborations and/or machine modules;
  • You incorporate your software module in test setups and/or machine prototype, your task is to produce an active solution;
  • You assist your colleagues using your software module in their applications for the implementation of experiments in the test setups;
  • You research new technologies to be used to implement new software functionalities.
Due to the broad interpretation that is given to the function, this function is both interesting for the professional as for the qualified starter.
 

Profile

  • You have a degree in HBO (Bachelor) or WO (Master) technical data processing or a technical study (i.e. electrical engineering, physics) with the emphasis on data processing;
  • You are result - and customer focused and are good at setting priorities. Also, you are a systematic and accurate worker with an analytical attitude. You are a teamplayer who has a considerable amount of perseverance;
  • It is a plus if you have experience in cross platform environments (Windows/Linux), have knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/Design, or design patterns, C++ and Python;
  • It is a plus if you have practical experience with measuring equipment for trouble shooting of your software module on indicator level.

Software Designer Engineer / Physicist

Job Description:

  • Your task will be to design and write software applications for the automation of both data acquisition and data analysis.
  • You will design and perform complex data analysis with image processing, processing large amounts of data and fitting them.
  • You will give input for measurements procedures and compose high level control software.
  • You will work in close cooperation with experimental physicists.
  • You will be a member of a team of physicists, SW developers, mechanical/electrical designers and technicians. 

Profile:

  • You have a B.Eng. (HTS), B.Sc or M.Sc. (TU) degree in Physics / Electronics / Mathematics or related technical discipline.
  • You have (work)experience with programming (e.g. C/C++, Java, Delphi/Pascal, Python, Fortran).
  • You have affinity with both structured software development and physics experiments.
  • You know how to avoid complexity and you strive after simple and straight-forward designs.
  • Experience in performing experiments is an advantage.
  • You are a team-player with excellent communication skills.

Experimental Physicist 

Job Description

  • You will be a member of one of the MAPPER Lithography teams. These teams, composed of engineers and physicists, design, improve and test the various parts of the MAPPER litho tool.
  • You will design new components for the MAPPER litho tool and you will constantly improve the existing ones.
  • You will design the measurements and develop test setups.
  • You will analyze the results of the measurements and compare these with modeling and simulation.

Your Profile

  • You have a M.Sc. degree in Physics or Mechanics.
  • Relevant working experience is preferred along with a pragmatic, innovative and a flexible mindset.
  • You have solid experience in measuring, modeling (MathCAD) and developing new verification methods and test setup designs.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Team-player with good social skills.

Machine Father

Job Description

As a Machine father you will be responsible for:

  • The operation of a dedicated tool/machine on which modules are verified and new functionalities are tested;
  • The review as well as execution of procedures used to verify these modules ;
  • The configuration management of the machine. This means that you will remove and/or integrate modules while keeping all configuration documentation up-to-date;
  • Identifying problems and issues and communication of them to the responsible Machine Owner and Module Owner.

Profile

As a Machine Father you :
  • Are graduated on MTS level minimally;
  • Preferably have 1-2 years of hands-on work experience;
  • Are capable of keeping your activities organized and communicating clearly to other people;
  • Have a cooperative mind-set, a slight tendency to perfectionism is no problem;
Furthermore:
  • You know when and how to say “No”;
  • You are keen on working with highly structured working processes / flows.

Mechanical Construction engineer

 Job Description:

  • Make (fine-) mechanical designs, sketches and provide details regarding specific requests;
  • Validate the concept designs using calculations;
  • Design and draw in 3D- drawing programs;
  • Make construction drawings in 2D;
  • Support the production process internally or with suppliers.

You are involved in the complete process: from idea to complete product. Direct feedback between theory and practice.

 Profile:

  • You have a mechnical degree at Bachelors level;
  • You have a minimum of two years work experience as a design engineer in (fine-) mechanics;
  • You are skilful with 3D-drawing programs (preferably Solid Edge);
  • Knowledge of vacuum technique, equipment and high voltage is preferred;
  • As a result-oriented team player you ask the right questions and are a good listener.

Support Technician Mechanical Engineering

  • You support the performance of experiments.

  • You work in a small team with five researchers.
